Wedding Venues in Kansas City

Congratulation! You are engaged to your best friend, and now you are looking at the long list of venues in the Kansas City area.

I am here to help you narrow that list down to a few of my favorite for each wedding style!

As a Kansas City documentary wedding photography who also travels, it is important to me that the couples that hire me have an overall stress free wedding day. I mean who WANTS to be stressed during their wedding, right??

The key to having a stress free wedding day is by hiring vendors, such as venues, that prioritize their couples to a point where they don’t need to worry about anything!

1. The Oliver Building

One of Kansas City’s historic event venues! This massive space can accomidate any wedding party size,, and really care about your wedding experience. With their full weekend, all inclusive pricing packages, you are able to create any vision you want at The Oliver Building. Click here to check out my recent blog for a styled shoot I hosted at the venue.

2. Hotel Kansas City

One of Kansas City’s most historic hotels in the downtown area! This beautiful, timeless, stunning hotel has everything that a couple would be looking for on editorial photos and space. From bold colors to timeless and even unconventional, you are able to take the space at Hotel Kansas City and make it your own for your wedding. You have both indoor and outdoor options for a wedding ceremony and reception. The Starlight bar on the 15th floor is one of my favorites that provide an elegant, timeless style for both your wedding and photos.

3. 8th and Main

Located in Grandview, Missouri, 8th and Main allows you to have a romantic yet modern feel to your wedding. An old bank vault door as the backdrop for your indoor wedding ceremony gives you this stunning, elevated look to your day. There is also an outdoor wedding ceremony option as well that is fenced off from the public to allow a more private feel to your wedding.

4. The Lincoln

Located in Ottowa, Kansas, this old post office was renovated into this stunning, intimate, timeless style wedding venue. Perfect for a smaller wedding party and away from the city craze, this venue has all you could ask for. A grooms suit, bridal suite, indoor and outdoor ceremony options, and a speakeasy in the basement. I mean how cool?! Plus, the area around the outside allows you to have the opportunity to get those perfect golden hour photos that everyone loves.

5. The Haven

An elevated farm, country vibe venue, this venue is perfect for those who are looking for that more modern, barn vibe to their wedding. Also outside of Kansas City, this venue offers so many amazing things for their couples. Plus, from the photographer perspective, the venue has many opportunities for timeless, elegant photos and an incredible view of the sunset for those golden hour photos!
