Imagine a bride in a gown that could have come straight out of a 1920s fashion magazine, her groom in a classic tuxedo that speaks of timeless style. The venue, a grand ballroom with soaring ceilings with a elegant, timeless vibe. That is literally what this Chicago summer wedding was all about that I had the amazing opportunity to second shoot at (disclaimer: all these photo are my but this is a wedding I second shot for Mary Rose Photography).

As a Chicago wedding photographer, who is based in Kansas City, my goal is to capture the essence of this “old money” inspired wedding in every frame. From the getting ready to the reception, the full day was in the heart of the city. We started out at the Canopy Hotel for the getting ready, did the first look outside the World of Trade building, hopped around some of the most iconic areas of Chicago, and ended out time at the Old Post Office. This venue screams of “old money, elegant, timeless” vibes, so it fit the couple perfectly.

The venue has many different rooms, bars, and rooftops that you are able to rent out from to make your dream elegant, timeless wedding come to life! The rooftop + elevators were definitely two of my favorite locations in the venue. I may be biased, but you cannot beat the Chicago skyline at any time of day.
